iPhone Owner Demands Compensation After Apple 'Wiped Away His Life'

A London man will meet Apple in court to argue the company a wiped away his life,a after taking a defective iPhone in to an Apple Store, where the tool was reset and the contents erased. Deric White, 68, spoke to The Sun newspaper in the U.K., saying he is demanding A £5,000 (thatas over $7,500) compensation from Apple, due to the lose of images and contacts.

White went in to more detail, telling The Sun,a My life was saved on that phone,a describing images and video saved from his honeymoon, including his, a favorite video of a large tortoise biting my hand on honeymoon in the Seychelles.a  He also states the phone contained 15 years worth of collected contacts.
The situation arose when White began receiving messages saying there was a fault on his iPhone five a it as not said exactly what the fault or messages were a & visited the Apple Store on Regent Street in London, of the UK as busiest Apple Stores. After examining the phone, staff declared it was fixed, & given back to White. Except all the knowledge had been erased.

According to White, it was only then they was asked if the phone had been backed up, & the knowledge saved elsewhere. Although The Sun as document doesn at explicitly say so, it must be assumed from the fuss that White did not have a backup stored on his computer, iCloud, or another service. a My spouse was in tears & I started crying when I spotted what had gone,a White is quoted as saying.
